MASDeC Green Product Directory
The purpose of the MN ASHRAE Sustainable Design Committee (MASDeC) is to advance energy and environmental performance of buildings through creation, exchange, and application of timely information about the art and science of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC-R). As part of that purpose, MASDeC wishes to educate the engineering community about the building industry’s concept of sustainable or green design. The most widely accepted measurement of sustainable design is the LEED Green Building Rating System; a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. Using LEED-NC Version 2.2 along with other rating systems such as the Whole Building Design Guide, the MN Sustainable Design Guide, and Green Globes, MASDeC with the help of regional sales representatives has identified products and services that may be used to support sustainable and environmental design. These products and services have then been organized and presented so that the engineering community may use the reference of products and services for sustainable engineering design. MASDeC would like to thank all those who helped with the creation of the Green Product Directory and is looking forward to the continued development of the directory as the building industry moves toward innovative and environmental building performance. |
