Upcoming Events

Past Presidents' Lunch and Officer Installation

Come to Axels Restaurant in Roseville tomorrow, May 14th at 11:30am, get to know both a large number of MNASHRAE past presidents and see the installation of the officers and board members who will be leading the Chapter in the next program year.  The cost is $30, unless you are a past president, in which case your attendance will be paid for by the Chapter.  Learn more and register here.

 

YEA Spring Tour of Tate Hall

The Young Engineers in ASHRAE will be doing a facility tour of the recently renovated Tate Hall at the University on Minnesota tomorrow, May 14th.  Meet in the lobby of the main entrance at 5:45pm on the west side of the building.  Following the tour, we will head over to a nearby pub for happy hour.  For more information and registration click here.

Intersection of ASHRAE's Alternative OA Calculations, IAQ and Energy Savings

Healthy Indoor Air with Lower Energy Costs Using Bipolar Ionization

Presentation will cover the history and impact of indoor air quality, contaminants of concern, air purification options, the history of Bipolar Ionization and deploying an air purification strategy to reduce capital and operational expenses. ASHRAE’s two main methods of sizing HVAC equipment will be discussed. This will include the benefits of applying ASHRAE’s IAQ Procedure in HVAC design.

Technology based on BPI can be installed in the supply air of HVAC systems. These systems can deliver:

  • Reduced absenteeism – healthier air by reduces VOCs and harmful particles, lessening impact of allergies and asthma up to 90%
  • Continuous Disinfection – up to 98% effective against H1N1, Staph, mildew, mold, E.coli
  • Lower energy costs – Reducing the cost to condition outside air by as much as 50%

Meeting time is 11:30-1 - with open social time before and after the technical presentation at 11:45 to 12:45. Lunch will be provided.

2019 MNASHRAE Golf Outing

The 52nd Annual MN Chapter of ASHRAE Golf Outing has been set for June 5, 2019. Dust off the clubs and start working out the kinks in your back swing because it is time for some golf!

Golf Registration

You can register for the golf event and sponsorships online here or by mail, using the hard copy attached to this event.                            

  • Regular Registration - $130 per person

Golf Registration includes Driving Range, Golf, Golf Cart, Lunch and Dinner!

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations must be made in writing no later close of business day, Friday, May 24, 2019. Any cancellations received after this date will not be refunded.
